Kevin Toney (Arranger, Orchestrator & Music Direction) is a Grammy nominated award winning pianist, composer, arranger and author. His major theater credits include PORGY AND BESS, SHOUT SISTER SHOUT!, RECORDED IN HOLLYWOOD, WORD by Ira Gershwin, JAMES BROWN GET ON THE GOOD FOOT, MEMPHIS, ATLANTA, FIVE GUYS NAMED MOE, AIN'T MISBEHAVIN, ITS ONLY MAKE BELIEVE, SOPHISTICASTED LADIES, DREAM GIRLS, SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE, HENRY IV, AINT NOTHING BUT THE BLUES". While earning his BA in Composition and Jazz Studies from Howard University, he became the leader of the Blackbyrds; the innovative jazz-soul sextet founded by jazz trumpet legend Donald Byrd. Kevin wrote many of their hits including  "Rock Creek Park" and "Unfinished Business". Kevin has released twelve acclaimed solo albums. STRUT was selected by the 2002 Winter Olympics Committee to be part of the "official Olympic soundtrack". His composition KINGS is a staple at jazz radio. Kevin has also worked with Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, The Jacksons, Whitney Houston, Donald Byrd, George Benson, Nancy Wilson, Pink, Ne-Yo, Shania Twain, Kenny Burrell, Carl Anderson, Shirley Caesar, Edwin Hawkins, Ray Parker Jr. and more. Kevin's awards include two Grammy Nominations, three RIAA Gold Record awards, a NAACP Image Award,  A National Endowment For the Arts  Fellowship Grant and he is a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.
